On Friday evening last an entertainment was held in connection with the "Trevelyan" Lodge, Independent Order of Good Templars, in the Primitive Methodist school room, Kirkby Street, Maryport.
The chair was taken by Mr. Thomas THOMPSON, who in the course of a short address urged upon the members the necessity of carrying on the work of the Order with energy.
     songs were sung by Brothers:
 W. MINSHAW, and a reading waa given by Brother J. W. FINLINSON. There was a fair attendance.
At the close of the entertainment, which owing to the lateness of the hour at which it commenced was very short - a vote of thanks was accorded to the chairman for presiding, and the proceedings concluded with the singing of the closing ode from the Good Templars Ode Book. Those present afterwards sat down to an excellent supper, the tables being presided over by ladies connected with the order.
