WORKINGTON v. WATH BROW.

Played on the lonsdale Park ground, Workington, on Saturday, before a
fair gathering of spectators. Wath Brow kicked off against a strong wind, and
in the early part of the game were warmly attacked. They eventually succeeded
in braeking away, but the Workington forwards retaliated with a dribble, which
enabled MADDEN to score. PHILLIPS converted.

Workington continued to have the best of the game till halftime. After
the interval play was even and dull for a time. Off-side by Workington
resulted in the Brow pressing and RUMNEY scoring a try, which GOUDIE converted. A few moments later the Brow got a free kick, and MARSHALL scored a goal, giving Wath Brow a lead of two goals 1 try to 1 goal 1 try, which was the score when the game ended.
