Deaths.

In English Street, on Saturday last, in the 75th year of her age, Mrs. Mary ARMSTRONG, relict of the late Mr. John ARMSTRONG, of this city.

At Blackwell, near this city, on the 25th instant, Mrs. Peggy RIBCHESTER, aged 77 years.

In Sowerby Street, Botchergate, on Tuesday last, Robert, infant son of Mr. Robert CONKEY, shoemaker.

In the House of Recovery, in this city, Elizabeth ELLIN, of Drover Lane, aged 22 years.

In Union Street, on Wednesday last, Mr. Thomas JARDINE, Police Officer, aged 40 years.

At Mellson House, Hayton, on the 22nd of June, Mary, relict of the late Mr. William MORRISON, aged 71 years; her quiet habits and amiable disposition endeared her to all who knew her.

At Wigton, on Monday last, Jane, the wife of Mr. B. BARRETT, tea dealer,—the deceased was of an amiable disposition, and much respected by all who knew her; at the same place, on the 22nd ult., Jane, wife of Mr. William HOWE, cabinet-maker, aged 55 years; on the 24th, Jaquie, wife of Mr. John SUTHERLAND, aged 65 years; on the 25th, William, son of Mr. William TODD, shoemaker, aged 35 years; on the 26th, Mr. John BACKHOUSE, innkeeper, aged 59 years; on the 28th, Hannah, daughter of Mrs. Ann HOLLIDAY, aged 26 years; same day, Miss Ann NEWTON, aged 61 years; same day, Joseph, son of Mr. Norman INGLIS, gardener, aged 12 years.

At Akehead, in the parish of Wigton, on the 27th ult., Elizabeth, wife of Mr. T. SHEFFIELD, farmer, aged 61 years.

At Dundraw, in the parish of Bromfield, on the 28th ult., Mr. John WOOD, late of Raby Grange, in the parish of Holme Cultram, aged 66 years.

At Papcastle, on Tuesday last, at the advanced age of 92, Mary, the wife of Mr. JENNINGS, of that place, and late of Jenkin, Embleton.

At Greystoke, on the 26th ult., after a short illness, Mr. John CURWEN, aged 50 years; much respected.

At Penrith, on the 27th ult., Mr. William TATE, late iron-founder, aged 65 years; same place, on the 26th, Mary MILLER, widow, aged 69 years.
