CAMP MEETING AT GILCRUX.
The Wesleyan Methodists of Gilcrux held their camp meeting on Sunday in a field close to the village. The afternoon meeting was addressed by Mr. John TELFORD, Maryport; and Messrs. John TIFFIN, S. CLULOE and J. WILSON, Gilcrux.
In the evening Mr. TELFORD preached at the Corner, in the village, and Mr. WILSON in the chapel. There was a good congregation at all the services, which concluded as usual with a prayer meeting.
PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHAPEL, FLIMBY.
On Sunday last the Primitive Methodists had a lively day at Flimby. In the morning a prayer meeting was held in the chapel. A procession was afterwards formed, which paraded the village singing hymns. During the afternoon a camp meeting was held on the green.
Addresses were delivered by:
Rev. M. JOHNSON, of Cockermouth
Mr. W. JOHNSON, of Prospect, and others.
A testimony meeting and love feast was held in the evening, the rev. M. JOHNSON presiding. Large congregations were present at the services.
COCKERMOUTH AND PAPCASTLE
On Saturday last the monthly meeting of this Board was held in the Board-room. Mr. J. BROWN presided at the commencement of the meeting. The other members present were:

Mr. D. RAPLEY
Mr. PEARSON nominated Mr. J. BROWN as chairman if the Board in the room of the late Dr. DODGSON. Mr. FISHER seconded the motion. Mr. RAPLEY proposed that Mr. ALEXANDER be chairman, which was seconded by Mr. FIDLER. After some discussion Mr. ALEXANDER was elected by four votes to three.
Mr. BROWN proposed a resolution of condolence with Mrs. DODGSON, widow of their late chairman, and this was adopted. Mr. FEARON called attention to the unsatisfactory state of the New-street schools, and the matter was left to the Visiting Committee.
