On Wednesday evening last a temperance lecture, entitled "There's Death in the Pot," was delivered in the Good Templar's Lodge Room, Brigham, by Mrs. STEELE, of Cockermouth.
Mr. Joseph ARMSTRONG of Millom, occupied the chair, and there was a very good attendance.
Mrs. STEELE described in a very telling and graphic manner the evils resulting from intemperance, and the benefits derived from temperance. At termination of the meeting a number of persons signed the pledge.
