FLIMBY WESLEYAN BAND OF HOPE.
On Saturday afternoon last members of the Flimby Wesleyan Band of Hope held a picnic in Moss Cottage Meadow, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr. Philip WEDGWOOD. The members assembled at the Wesleyan Chapel about five o'clock, formed in procession, and headed by the Flimby Fife and Drum Band, proceeded to the field. Football, cricket and other various games were indulged in until about eight o'clock, when they returned to the chapel, where tea was provided; the tables being presided over by:

After tea Mr. Wilson IRVING, of Hayton, delivered an interesting address.

The sum collected at the dedication and the laying of the memorial stone, together with that realised at the bazaar last week, amounted to £252.
