A pretty wedding took place at the Parish Church, Lamplugh, the
contracting parties being Mr. William JOHNSTON, eldest son of Mr. John JOHNSTON, of
Arlecdon, and Miss M'CREADY, of Kirkland.

       The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. G. CRAIG (rector).

       The bride was becomingly attired in a dress of heliotrope mohair,
trimmed with white silk and orange blossoms with a hat to match. The bridesmaids
were Miss B. STAINTON (Arlecdon), who was attired in slate coloured satin cloth
with vest of slate of slate colour corded silk trimmed with cream lace with
picture hat trimmed with cream plumes and shaded roses; and Miss Sarah
NICHOLSON, who was also dressed in slate coloured material with hat to match.

       The bridegroom was attended by Mr. John STAINTON, of Arlecdon, as best

       After returning from church a large number of friends partook of the
wedding breakfast and congratulatory speeches delivered. The party then
proceeded to wagonettes to Scale Hill, where a pleasant time was spent. The happy
couple have received a large number of useful presents.
