THE EXPECTED VISIT OF THE
AUSTRALIANS TO KENDAL

The Australian Cricket team will assemble in London on Sunday, April 30th, in
readiness to commence practice the following day, preparatory to opening
their campaign at the Crystal Palace on Monday, May 8th against the South of
England. The "Sportsman" states that J. DARLING has been chosen  as captain, and H.
TRUMBLE as vice-captain. The one open date (July 20) may be devoted to a
visit to Kendal, giving the side an opportunity of seeing the Lake District.

MORCAMBE v. ULVERSTON.

Morcambe, who as the bottom club in the Lancashire Senior Competition, have
to play a test match with Millom, met Ulverston on the Morcambe ground, and had
a very easy victory. At half time, however,  the game had been well
contested, and the interval score was one goal each. In the second half Morcambe 
crossed their opponents' line no fewer than five times, and won the match by two
goals and five tries to Ulverstons 1 goal.
