WATER SUPPLY continues.............

A letter was read from MR. WEDDERSPOON asking for a supply of water to the Ellenborough farm buildings, for protection from fire and for domestic use. The Committee was referred to the Maryport Trustees to see if they would allow their main to be tapped.

A letter was read from MR. JOHN CAMPBELL, dated High-street, Maryport, July 14th, and stating that "we were unable to obtain a supply of water for our boilers at New Banks Pit from 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday until 5 a.m. on Thursday.  The pit was unable to work on Wednesday, and all our men were idle.  As this has resulted in a serious loss to us, we will thank you to let us know how the Rural Sanitary propose to compensate us for this loss; and if in future any undertaking will
