Deaths.
 
At Kirkhouse, on Sunday last, Mrs. Ann HOLMES, in the 73d year of her age. As a member of the Wesleyan Connexion, Mrs. HOLMES was deservedly held in high estimation, both by the members of that body, and indeed by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance—her deep piety—her exemplary conduct— her Christian benevolence, united with a kind and endearing disposition, were such, that few have gone down to the grave more sincerely regretted. Mrs. H. was a steady and consistent member of the Methodist Society for upwards of 46 years.
 
At Wigton, on the 15th inst., Mrs. Hannah EARL, aged 86 years.
 
At Penrith, on the 18th, Mr. Thos. RICHARDSON, an Artillery pensioner, aged 58; on the 20th, Mary, daughter of Mr. Wm. ATKINSON, gardener, aged 15; on the 21st inst., Frances, wife of Mr. Joseph HALL, shoemaker, aged 23.
 
At Eamont Bridge, near Penrith, on the 19th, Ann, wife of the late Mr. Wm. MASON, yeoman, aged 72 years.
 
At Greenholm Lodge, on the 24th inst., Mrs. Margaret JOHNSTON, widow, aged 81 years.
 
At Cockermouth, on Thursday last, Mrs. Isabella HENDERSON, widow, aged 66 years.
 
At Portinscale, near Keswick, on the 13th inst., after a lingering illness, Mr. Wm. ROGER, aged 56 years; on Saturday, at How, near Keswick, aged 78 years, Mr. John TARLETON; at Castlerigg, near Keswick, same day, Elizabeth, relict of the late Mr. George SUMMERS, in the 80th year of her age—much repected through life.
 
At Whitehaven, since our last, after a long and severe illness, Jane, wife of Mr. John ROBINSON, bookseller, in the 55th year of her age; Mr. George DIXON, mariner, aged 68 years; Mr. Barnard M'DONALD, aged 30; Mr. John KELLY, in his 62d year; Jane, wife of Mr. Wilkinson MOSSOP, aged 53 years.
 
On Sunday, at Egremont, Mr. Wm. SHERWEN, formerly of Thornflatt, Drigg, aged 73 years.
 
Lately, at Hilton, near Appleby, Mrs. Hannah CRAIG, formerly innkeeper, aged 75.
 
At Brackenber, near Appleby, Mrs. Elizabeth DENT, aged 73 years.
 
At Sizergh Hall, after a protracted illness, aged 43, Thomas STRICKLAND, Esq.—universally esteemed. His remains were interred in the family vault in Kendal church.
