A correspondent of the Glasgow Courier writes to this effect: -
“It is now understood that the bill to be introduced in the Lords during the current week, by the Earl of Aberdeen, will comprehend the ground of his lordship’s former measure, as also the terms indicated in Sir James GRAHAM’s letter. It would also appear, that on an early day - certainly during the present session - government will introduce a measure for the quoad sacra division of parishes, where such may be deemed necessary; so that increased facilities for the pastoral superintendence of the people of Scotland may be afforded, and arrangements made for the conferring on chapel ministers the necessary civil and ecclesiastical status.”
