On Monday, the 29th ult., the scholars of the Free Grammar School, Reagill, presented their teacher, Mr. W. Moore FLEMING, with a handsome silver gilt snuff box, as testimont of their estimation of him ass a teacher.

Before the presentation, the scholars were publicly examined in the presence of the trustees and their parents, when the exhibition of their acquirements did great credit to both themselves and their master. They also recited several pieces of poetry.

On leaving the school (and this day being the anniversary of the monarchical government) the scholars, accompanied by the trustees and nearly all the inhabitants of the village and its vicinity, headed by music, went in procession to Mr. Thomas BLAND’s garden, where they partook of coffee, &c., provided by the young ladies and their friends.

The evening was spent in mirth and conviviality, loyal toasts were drank with enthusiasm, and with every demonstration of attachment to our beloved sovereign Queen Victoria.
