An inquest was held on Friday, the 20th inst., before George THOMPSON, Esq., coroner of the East Ward of Westmorland, on view of the body of a child named John Hodgson JACKSON, son of Thomas JACKSON, Martindale, in the parish of Barton.

It appeared that the deceased had died from his clothes catching fire, while left in the house by itself. The jury returned a verdict of “Accidentally burned.”
