WORKINGTON.

On Tuesday afternoon a pigeon shooting match took place at Workington in a
field near Siddick Junction, between George LOWDEN, of Frizington, and Joseph
PINGUCY, of Workington. The following was the result, each man having 25
shots: -

Mr. John DRAPER, of Bolton stood in for part of PINGUEY’s stake, and
supplied him with birds; and Mr. William JOHNSTONE, of Carlisle, contributed the
pigeons on LOWDEN’s behalf.
Mr. R. CARRUTHERS, of Workington, was stakeholder, and Mr. Isaac SELKIRK, of
Beckermet, acted as referee.
