FOOTBALL
MARYPORT FOOTBALL CLUB.

Last Friday evening the members of the Ellensiders Football Club celebrated their second anniversary at Mr. FINLINSON’s Cocoa-rooms, Senhouse-street. Mr. ROBLEY presided. Mr. R. NIXON, the secretary, read the balance sheet, and showed a balance of 15s 10d. In favour of the club. It was decided to increase the subscription of the members over 17 years of age to 1s 6d., while the subscriptions for the members under that age will be 1s.
It was agreed to recommend each member to wear a blue jersey during play, with a red star on the left side. The officers and the committee for the next season were appointed as follows: -

Mr. J. ROBLEY was elected captain and Mr. W. BROWN, sub captain of the Second Fifteen.
After the business had been disposed of the members sat down to an excellent supper provided by Mrs. FINLINSON. Upon the removal of the cloth a programme of vocal and instrumental music was gone through, and in which Mr. NEIL, Mr. OUSBY, Mr. THOMPSON, Mr. WALKER and Mr. BROWN took part. Mr. ROBLEY presided at the piano.
Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers for the admirable manner in which they had discharged their duties during the last year, and to Mrs, FINLINSON for her excellent provision. The company broke up about half past eleven.
