There is to be a contest at Wilton.  The Hon. Sidney HERBERT, Independent Conservative, is being opposed by Mr. . F. NORRIS, Liberal, and a barrister.  Sir E. ANTROBUS, who vacates the seat, held it for twenty years as a Liberal.  Quite a batch of Radical speakers are nightly supporting Mr. NORRIS. -- Mr. E. GIBSON, Attorney-General for Ireland, was on Tuesday re-elected without opposition member for Dublin University. -- There is to be a contest at Halifax.  Mr. HUTCHINSON, editor of the Halifax courier,  is the Liberal, and Mr. GAMBLE, Q.C., is the Conservative candidate.  The nomination will take place today, and the polling on Tuesday. -- For the vacancy caused at Oldham by the death of Mr. COBBETT, it is expected that Lieutenant-Colonel Lees will contest the vacant seat in the Conservative interest, and in all probability a Liberal candidate will be found in Mr. HIBBERT.
