"JACK' LOST IN CARLISLE. -- At the close of the police business in the Town Hall, on Monday, Mr. James DURES, relieving officer, stated that a boy, about 2½ ears of age, had been placed under his care, and he was
anxious to have him restored to his parents.  The little fellow was comfortably dressed, in a brown and white lincey petticoat, black velvet Glengary, and clogs.  He was found crying in Finkle Street on Saturday night. -- The Mayor remarked that the representatives of the press would probably notice the statement, and by its publicity the child's parents or guardians would know where to apply. -- The boy is now located in the workhouse; but up to last night on application had been received for his custody.  He gives the sole name of "Jack."
