THE SOLWAY FISHERIES. -- On Tuesday evening, in the House of Commons, Mr. Stafford HOWARD gave notice that on an early day "he would call attention to the law affecting the Soloway Salmon Fisheries, and move a resolution." Of course, the honourable member's object is to apply the same law to the Scotch shore as applies to the English shore in regard to fixed nets. It will be seen that on Tuesday Carlisle Town Council resolved to petition Parliament in support of Mr. HOWARD'S endeavour.
