Under the leadership of their profession teacher, Mr. J. E. FIDLER, Liverpool, who has brought them through the ordeal so satisfactorily at recent band contests held in the county, the members of the Moor Row Prize Band delighted a large crowd of music lovers in Egremont on Sunday evening last by rendering what proved to be a highly successful programme of appropriate music.
The exponents entrusted with the solos of the respective instruments acquitted themselves very creditably, and the manner in which the whole performance was given, promptly showed that the musical qualifications of Mr. FIDLER are of the highest character.
A collection was made and the sum realised will doubtless greatly augment the band funds.
