MARYPORT BOWLING CLUB.

The final game in the rink competition took place on Tuesday evening, between two rinks composed of the following players: -
J. MORDAFF (skip)
J. CAMERON
J. SCOTT
J. CURWEN
T. GREENHOW (skip)
J. STEPHENSON
W. HASTIE
T. ABBOT
The result was a win for the rink skipped by Mr. GREENHOW, by 28 shot to 20.
The skip of the winning rink thus becomes entitled to hold the silver cup given to the club by Sir John RANDLES, M. P., for the ensuing year. In addition each player received a handsome set of carvers. The runners up also received suitable prizes.
At the conclusion of the game Mr. ROSS, in the absence of the president, handed over the cup to the safekeeping of Mr. GREENHOW, and presented the prizes to the winning players.
The championship competition for the President’s prize was won by J. SCOTT, who defeated T. SKELTON in the final by one shot.
The two bowl handicap for the vice-presidents’ prize was won by Wm. COULTHARD, who defeated C. P. NEWTON in the final by 21 shots to 19.
