THE LATE MR. HENRY KITCHIN.
_____

A photo of the late Mr. Henry KITCHIN has been hung in the reading room by Mrs. PARKER, of Parknook, with the following inscription printed at the foot:

“President 1904 and 5 and 1911 and 12, who rendered valuable services to the institution. Resided at Ellerslie 12 years. Died October 1912.”

Mr. KITCHIN during the 12 years he resided at Ellerslie, Gosforth, took a very deep interest in the reading room, and was held in very high esteem by the members. The photo is a very striking likeness of the deceased gentleman, and it is to be hoped when viewed it may be an impulse to all to “Go thou, and do likewise.”
