We feel great sorrow in announcing the following, melancholy catastrophe. On Wednesday morning last, John WORDSWORTH, Esq. of Penrith, threw himself from the parapet of his dwelling-house, into the area in front. He was followed to the parapet by his man-servant, but not in sufficient time to prevent the fatal act; he expired in a few minutes. A Coroner's inquest was held over the body. Verdict - Mental derangement. - The remains of this unfortunate gentleman were, we understand, interred at Barton on Saturday. A great many carriages containing the numerous friends of the deceased accompanied the hearse from Penrith.
