SHOCKING RAILWAY ACCIDENT - A shocking accident occurred at the Keighley station of the Bradford extension of the Midland Railway on Friday last.  As a train was approaching, one of the porters, named THOMAS GREEN, made an attempt to catch hold of the railing, but did not succeed.  He, however, made another effort, and caught hold with his hand, and in stepping upon the footboard his foot slipped and he lost his hold, and was thrown under the wheels, which at once cut off one foot; he was then drawn farther under the carriages, and the next wheel passed over and broke both legs; he was drawn still farther, when the wheel passed over and severed his body in two.  The mangled remains of the poor man were gathered together, folded in a sheet, and taken away.  The verdict of the jury was Accidental Death.
